This is PPro v22.6.2 on Windows 10 Ent &#8211; 24 core Threadripper 3.79 Ghz, 128GB RAM and RTX 2080 Ti.</p>

Currently having audio dropout after playing just a few seconds. Seems to be pretty consistent. Can stop and resume playing, but then cuts out after a few seconds again. Don&#8217;t really need to shoot anything at that bit&hellip;</p>

If you are editing off the QNAP via Gigabit ethernet, you will get questionable playback of your 4K. See if you can get a 10 Gig connection on the PC and on the QNAP server.</p>
<p>Adobe suggests to have your cache go to a dedicated cache SSD drive.</p>

When you switch from the default mic input in PPro audio settings, it should give you a Mac alert that you have to click through to allow it to use different hardware. I don&#8217;t know how to force Mac to allow it, other than reinstalling PPro. Security in Macs have gotten ridiculous. </p>

I&#8217;m not sure what is going on with it if you are transcoding to ProRes 422 48k, and editing with matching settings. But I would try to render out an intermediate ProRes file &#8211; it will be considerably larger than your h264 mp4. The render out of PPro should be pretty quick if you use the same ProRes settings. The importing process really does nothing to the video, other than bring it into the project &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t change it, unless you&#8217;re set up to transcode on import.</p>

It sounds like the AE project may have been created on a different machine and you don&#8217;t have all the same plugins and fonts loaded on yours. Just make your adjustment layers and labels in a new project, and save it. Then just copy that project whenever you make a new one.</p>

Mac? I would open Creative Cloud. Uninstall Premiere and Reinstall it. Keep your prefs. See if that works. Otherwise, you might try trashing your prefs, but not sure that would do it.</p>

Did the LUT come across in the upgrade? Have you tried deleting any effects on a piece of footage to see if it is related to an effect?</p>

RAID-5 is good. It&#8217;s better than RAID-0 if you want some safety net. But I will tell you, I&#8217;ve had a RAID-5 drive die, and during the rebuild, a second drive died. This has been on more than one occasion with good, quality arrays. RAID-6 is better if you can swing it. Just happened recently with a&hellip;</p>
