That’s correct. That is what it does with me and the problem is caused because FCP doesn’t like rewrapped files or at least those rewrapped by Shutter Encoder.

Anyway it doesn’t matter to me as I only shoot progressive AVCHD nowadays which does not have that problem.

I ran a test with a sound designer friend and sending to protools worked fine. Never want to assume they are grading in resolve so I always want to know if an XML will work, but that’s something I might test later down the track.

But actually, this helps me come to a compromise solution where I will create sequences for just those tricky cards, project manage those, and give her those cards reduced in that way on her hard drive. So, thank you for keeping that in the picture.

I am thoroughly confused now. I’m not sure what I did wrong before, but NOW it is working with Auto Render cache in the Edit tab. And there is now a blue line above the clip to show when its pre-rendered as well as red when it is not. That was not showing up before.

Thank you, Devrim. I did a test of one clip using prores 422 and it came out nice! Now I’m looking at another one that has some kind of grimy noise probably due to low light and added scale fx. Hoping Neat Video can handle it.

The GPU came. It was easy to install, and it worked.

Perhaps what you need the 4GB for is resolve for effects.

I’m just simple editing and eventually color correction. The correction is down the road. It’s going to be a long, slow road.

I did love the fact you can sync the sound and video in a flash. That was great.

Used both apps Devrim suggested on indie features/shorts and its flawless.

But he is right about keeping it clean with no extras.

Heck even when staying in the same app via FCPXML across diff users plugins tend to get confused.

Keep it simple, should always be the workflow with cross platform editing.
