For many years, when clicking on the colour triangle, the “Color Board” would come up for me (it’s the one I’m used to). Recently I’ve been getting an intermediate screen entitled “Enhance Light and Color” from which I then have to choose the board, wheel or curve I feel appropriate. Is there any way of going straight to my prefered tool? This intermediate screen is very tiresome. Thanks for any help here.

    Well that sounds annoying.

Not using 11 yet so I cant seem to figure out your issue.
I did do a Google and are you sure you didn’t select it at import?

Its the enhanced button and sorry if I’m wrong.

Need to upgrade sometime in the near future.

    Hey Brian,

That’s the new default panel in 11, but you can set it to whichever one you prefer:

Settings -> General -> Color Correction

Thanks for that Eric. Actually, it’s turning out to be pretty impressive. I was videoing a local amateur production with a variety of different (but almost similar) camcorders all over the hall and quite a lot of the time it’s giving good results! Amazing!

I hoped there would be a way – many thanks Doug!

    Hi,

That’s not normal behavior. That option only appears if you applied Color Enhance to a clip or Color Balance is checked in your import settings.

Hello Devrim – thanks for your concerns but having had this explained, swapped between the options and generally messed around I’m pretty happy with the behaviour.

I’m not happy with the inconsistencies in FCP behaviour surrounding the use of the Ken Burns effect on video clips but that is for another thread on another day 😉 One day I’ll take the time to write it up.
