Can I convert .prproj into an editable Final Cut file?
Hi! First time posting here. I am working on a project with a creator who uses Final Cut Pro on a Mac computer. I use Premier Pro on a PC. We want to be able to send the same project back and forth, but every time I try to export it as a Final Cut file, it gives me an error caused by the effects. He wants to be able to continue adding to it and then send it back to me, and vice-versa. Thank you!

Hi,
You cannot export FCPX XML to Premiere Pro. They don’t match. There are several ways though. Your first friend is, https://www.intelligentassistance.com/xtocc/ , you can use this software to convert it. However, I have to warn it will only help you with basic edits. You will experience problems with some effects and multicams, etc. If it is only cuts, perfect.
Second friend is Da Vinci Resolve. You can import FCPX XML into Da Vinci Resolve, link all the footage and you can export an XML from Resolve to FCPX. And even with this method, you may still experience some compatibility issues, as mentioned above.

Used both apps Devrim suggested on indie features/shorts and its flawless.
But he is right about keeping it clean with no extras.
Heck even when staying in the same app via FCPXML across diff users plugins tend to get confused.
Keep it simple, should always be the workflow with cross platform editing.
