When this happens, the whole project suffers &#8211; especially playback.</p>
<p>Thus, I have gotten in the habit of deleting all unused cache files on a regular basis.</p>

My next build will have at least 24 GB of GPU RAM.</p>
<p>Your other alternative is to switch to a Windows based system where all brands of GPUs should be available.</p>

I often get the GPU memory is full message. No matter what brand of GPU the problem exists. My next GPU will have at least 24 GB of RAM.</p>

Not a Resolve problem. I have found VLC doesn&#8217;t offer much help in determining the usefulness of a video file. Media Player Classic, the last version they made, is much better. <p>I would try looking at one of the recovered clips with MediaInfo and/or ffprobe to see if you can find out what&hellip;</p>

<p>If you recovered a Timeline, that Timeline may still be corrupted.</p>
<p>This happens. In the same project, create an new empty Timeline. Go to the Timeline you recovered. Lasso all of the clips and copy them to the clipboard. Then go to the newly created Timeline and paste them. I have done this many time to successfully recover files. </p>

I had to install a 1 TB SSD just to use for cache, and then I need to delete unused cache frequently. </p>
<p class="">There are many things, often associated with project setup, that can cause crashes, but when the cache fills the hard drive mine crashes every time.</p>

If you look at the Media Info I sent for your i9 rendered file, you can see that you have a bit rate of (399Mbps) 10 times that normally used for a H.264 rendered file. Then look at Bit depth only being 8 bit. Chroma subsampling of 4:2:0. Color range of Limited.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s a low quality file with a very high bit rate.</p>

<p>The video also sputters on my LG OLED.</p>
<p>The problem is in your render settings. In checking the video MediaInfo, it shows that you have rendered at a bit rate of  399Mb/s. </p>
<p>You need to change some settings: </p>
<p>Encoding profile: Change Main to Main10</p>
<p>Quality: set to Restrict to 40000Kbps</p>
<p>Rate Control: set to VBR High Quality</p>

<p>It appears you have gone through a similar diagnosis as I would do. The results point to a issue with your LG OLED TV.</p>
<p>If you send a link to download the video, I will test it on my LG OLED TV. That should tell us whether or not there is a problem with the video itself.</p>

I have last years model LG OLED TV and have no problem playing 4K 10 bit HDR MP4 or MOV clips processed in Resolve Studio (always the latest version). So, I do know what you are trying to do can be done and do play on LG OLED TVs.</p>

With the Dongle you can run either or both Fusion Studio and/or Resolve Studio on any computer you plug the Dongle into. I ended up liking resolve so much I now have two licenses, one stand alone and one dongle. I have never looked back nor have I ever regretted moving to Black Magic. Then to make sure you see what you are going to get, you will eventually be considering a Deck Link.</p>

Some types of clips will not work in the free version. It&#8217;s been several versions of Resolve since I have tried a free version, but I do remember that I could not load 4K 10 bit V-Log clips into the free version, but they worked just fine in the Studio version.</p>

There will always be some variation because not all devices are calibrated he same. Whenever I see a huge difference between devices, it has always been something I have done wrong. With the original files,you know you are retaining everything the camera was able to capture. </p>
<p>The All-I 400Mbps files are going to be much smaller than either of the formats you cited, and you still will not be able to play them in any of the free desktop players that I have found. That is except for&hellip;</p>

Are you shooting family videos, YouTube Videos, or doing professional work?</p>
<p>I personally only use V-Log-L when shooting with my GH5, and V-Log when shooting with my S1H. When doing a two camera shoot, the footage can be perfectly matched in post. </p>
