July 17, 2022 at 10:36 amHello,
I just imported some MXF files from Canon C-300 into the free version of Resolve and when I try to see the imported files I get a “Media Offline” screen, but I can hear the sound of the files. I found out that if you have a Mac you can download the Apple Pro Video Formats and fix this, but is there a solution for windows?

July 17, 2022 at 4:01 pmI don’t use Canon, but have heard that you should import mxf files into windows with the Canon XF Utility.

July 18, 2022 at 1:29 amWhat version of Resolve are you using? Codec compatibility is on ongoing process and you might just need a more recent version of Resolve

I have downloaded the latest vesrion of Resolve, but they still wouldn’t play.
I ended up using Adobe Media Encoder to convert, because I couldn’t find any other solution.
