I spent a minute trying to do this to your still with TopazLabs Photo AI. It’s not perfect. Just trying to see if AI could do it. I’m not familiar with an AI app that would remove this from moving footage. You could export the video as a PNG sequence, then fix each frame, and then turn them back into video. Might be faster than painting.

For me, my basic keywords are related to my folder organization for each job. On my external edit SSD, I start with a job folder that contains subfolders: Day 1 original footage, Day 2 original footage, etc., stock footage, VO, music, SFX, etc.

I’m not that fluent with Resilve, but I think you need to apply a border effect that follows the mask. I did a quick search and found this tutorial. I don’t know if it works with the magic mask.

It sounds like FCP periodically thinks it’s lost a link to a file, but it hasn’t actually lost it. It’s never happened to me. Where is the footage stored: in the Library or externally?

Yes. 48kHz sample rate is good. I use WAV, but AIFF is basically the same. If you’re sharing files, I’d use WAV as it’s more common, especially in professional use. While not necessary, I use 24-bit bit depth.

This is a muscle memory thing for me so I’m not sure this works. I think if you click on the field with 250, you can enter a number in excess of the slider, hit return and, hopefully, you’re good.

I’m not an expert in AE. You didn’t mention the background. How about placing a copy of the background over the leaves and masking it to reveal or hide the leaves. Not elegant, but might work.

I don’t edit with Premiere, but use Adobe Media Encoder. You might be able to do this in Premiere.

Bit rate and resolution are the parameters that most affect file size. I’d start with a bit rate of 500kbps and lower your resolution to 720P. AME will show you the estimated file size after you enter the parameters.

You need to be in a color space that supports HDR such as Rec 2020 HLG which I believe is the HDR color space the iPhone shoots, not Rec 709 which is standard dynamic range. I’m not a DaVinci expert, but there are excellent online tutorials that can help. Check out Cullen Kelly’s and Darren Mostyn’s tutorials.

On my system, a plugin called Object Remover is in the Motion Templates folder > Titles > RT Helpers > Object Remover. RT Helpers is from Ripple Training. Object Remover is a fairly generic name, so there may be other developers than Ripple. But I’d search through the Titles and Effects folders in Motion Templates. You might find it there.

I agree with the previous replies. I suggest you use Shutter Encoder (it’s free & excellent) to edit the front end without re-encoding. It has a simple edit interface built-in.

I seem to recall when I went from one computer to another, I’d forgotten about an even older computer that had some CoreMelt plugins installed. Fortunately, it started and I cleared that install. Did you ask CoreMelt if they can disable the other license on the other computer? I don’t see why they couldn’t do that.

I agree with Kirk. It’s called CoreMelt Manager. I’ve been using it to install & update CoreMelt plugins with no issues. Maybe it will help.

Strange. It’s in both the free and Studio versions. Are you on the latest version of Resolve? I don’t remember when it was added. Hopefully, someone else has better info.

First, apply tracking marks to the green screen, so when you move the camera, the marks move with it. In post, track the marks then apply that tracking data to your plate. Before you make your final composite, using object removal, you need to remove the tracking marks from the green screen. There are many online tutorials that explain the process.

Thanks, Ben. I didn’t make the connection between Compound Clips and render files. It clearly makes sense. The OS is 14.1.2 and FCP is 10.7.1. Chrome is installed but rarely used.

I’ve never seen this before. A couple of days ago I finished the day editing, shut down FCP, and all was well. The next morning, I opened Final Cut and many compound clips (containing Titles) in the timeline were dark gray. The name of the CC was there, but none of the parameters or content.

I’m not an expert AE user and am unsure what sliders you’re referring to. Hopefully this helps. Right-click on the position keyframe and look to the bottom of the list that opens for Animation Assistant. Ease and Easy Ease will smoothly stop the move. If the text layers are the same length, they should all move the same way.

Downsides to me are no internal ND and only one xlr in. Not a problem if you only run double-system, but with a small crew or one-man-band, a real disadvantage.

Have you tried to adjust the transition duration in the timeline? If not, select the transition, click Control+D, enter a new time, and Enter. Most transitions can be changed this way.

Ribbon mics have very low output compared to condenser mics. While some mixers may have sufficient input gain for ribbon mics, many do not. You need a device like a Cloudlifter which is an inline very clean preamp that uses phantom power to provide the extra gain you need.

Try this. In the media pool before you drop a clip on the timeline right click on it and go to clip attributes. On the Audio tab, change Format to Mono and tracks to two.

I haven’t heard of BRAW 2. Could it be a duplicate of another file? If not, try removing the 2 in the file name and see if it opens, Worst case, it doesn’t.

I’ve never had this happen with video but have heard it on audio in Pro Tools. It was caused by a plugin adding latency to a track, delaying it, and thereby, creating an echo.

If you are using any plugins on the audio or video elements, try bypassing or removing them.

Before going to the File menu, make sure your Library is selected in the Browser. Then you should see the Delete Generated Files options.

There’s an app called Captionator that allows you to change the background color or eliminate it. It also creates captions from audio or video files. See it in the App Store. I think it costs $20 US. Brian Murray, the developer, has a couple fairly detailed videos about it.

Was the audio recorded on a separate recorder? It’s my understanding that the UMP doesn’t record audio when off speed recording is selected.
