‘.BRAW 2’ footage
Hello all,
Some footage was filmed on a black magic, then that memory card was transferred to a harddrive via an old Macbook Pro 2012 on location. This same harddrive is now being used to edit from on my 2017 iMac. Several of the clips are ‘.braw’ and are fine. But there are many with the extension ‘.braw 2’ which I cannot open and DaVinci Resolve 17 will not recognise. At Finder level they are reading as ‘Unix Executable File’.
Can anyone help me with this? I can’t find any reference anywhere of ‘.braw 2’ and I need this footage. Can it be saved/converted?

I haven’t heard of BRAW 2. Could it be a duplicate of another file? If not, try removing the 2 in the file name and see if it opens, Worst case, it doesn’t.

I’m glad it worked. I’ve changed extensions of video files over the years for similar reasons, and it works, sometimes.
