    Greetings everyone.

I just imported a video file in my Final Cut Pro Project and I’m getting an error that reads “Modified File” as shown in the screen shot. What is this and how can I import the video into the project without the error? All help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi John,

I tried the first answer listed in the link you sent but couldn’t locate the “Delete Generated Event Files” menu item under “Files” but did find “Delete Generated Clip Files” and when I clicked that menu item I got a scary warning the files inside and outside the library will be deleted so I canceled it. Is it saying that my original file will also be deleted? If it will not touch my original video file then I will try it.

Before going to the File menu, make sure your Library is selected in the Browser. Then you should see the Delete Generated Files options.

Deleting the generated library files worked for me as well.

Thanks to everyone for this helpful thread!
