September 16, 2025 at 10:34 pmYes. 48kHz sample rate is good. I use WAV, but AIFF is basically the same. If you’re sharing files, I’d use WAV as it’s more common, especially in professional use. While not necessary, I use 24-bit bit depth.

September 17, 2025 at 2:33 pm48kHz is standard for digital video and TV broadcast. Stick to it. And do not convert to AIFF, waste of time, does you no favors. FCP will easily handle the original m4a files just fine.

September 21, 2025 at 3:47 amOne more question I need you guys to give me your honest opinion on 2 vids. Which one sounds best 1st or 2nd video? They are both from final cut pro same export settings the only difference is that 2nd vid .jpg is uncompressed from the Ben Dodson website
1st video: https://youtu.be/f3ue4vtmCuQ?si=gScJvIoVLQAAxoxH
2nd video: https://youtu.be/WPVM5HvjATo?si=v6RvMMBA2vo1cYq-

JPG is a compression format, so if it’s a JPG it’s definitely not uncompressed.
