<p>A bit off topic but couldn&#8217;t help noticing your green screen setup.  Minor changes to your setup will make it easier to key out your background.</p>
<p>First off, make sure that your green BG doesn&#8217;t have any wrinkles and is as flat as possible.  Put your talent as far as possible from the green screen, this will reduce the amount of green light&hellip;</p>

<p>As a general rule, laptops will draw the power from the battery and not directly from the power supply.  That is why most laptops won&#8217;t turn on right away if the battery is completly drained even though the power supply is pluged in.  Now, not all laptops have the same power requirement. <p>The following example is what I understand from your explanation. It may not be what you&#8217;re looking for but it may be the gist of it.  You can extrapolate from  it.</p>

<p>1- Just select the required tracks by holding the Ctrl on the keyboard.  No need to Un-group if you don&#8217;t need to.</p>

<p>K-Light Codec Pack has been notorious for creating havoc with Vegas for as far I can remember.  If you want to keep your Vegas humming along, I recommend you completely uninstall K-Light from your computer.</p>

I have been using the <i>Vegasaur Toolkit</i> for many years and it did help save most of my sanity..  Seriously, it&#8217;s the best add-on I ever got for Vegas Pro.</p>

<p>Could it be that at some point all of your tracks were grouped ?  Here&#8217;s something you may what to try.</p>
<p>Go to the far left and select all of your tracks.</p>
<p>Click the right mouse button on one of the selected tracks.</p>
<p>You should get one of the 2 menus shown below and act accordingly.</p>
<p>Let us know if that worked.</p>

<p>Where did you add your TimeCode ?  On a separate track or on the same track as the clip ?</p>
<p>Usually, when you drop the TimeCode from FX in a clip (or an Empty Event), it will default to the length of the clip.  Your best bet is to add the Timeode FX to an Empty Event and make the empty event the length needed.  Keep it on top as Track #1.&hellip;</p>

Like he said, the original clip added to your time line is B&amp;W.  As an example, I added the B&amp;W effect to the timeline below and as you can see, only the preview window is B&amp;W.  The clip in the timeline still has colour.  Yours doesn&#8217;t.</p>

<p>I don&#8217;t believe that it&#8217;s a missing font problem.  I does look like the Vegas software is not reading some of the instructions regarding Capital letters in some areas. <p>Check you FX chains (both).  You may have inadvertently added the Black &amp; White effect to your timeline.  It&#8217;s right under Bézier Masking in the FX chain selection.</p>

<p>Trial version will not let you render if it&#8217;s more than 1 min 59 sec.  Here&#8217;s a crazy option for you,  render your project in chunks of less than 2 minutes and then re-assemble them in one of the free video software available out there.  </p>

<p>As Steve said, the ignite Pro plugin from FXHome works great.  Once you install Hitfilm, the plugin will be available in Vegas also.</p>
<p>From what I can see by one of your pics, the one with the green BG, you are standing way to close to your screen, hence the dark spot around you.  If the camera sees a shadow, for sure you will have a harder&hellip;</p>

<p>Try the Equalizer effect in the Freeware Dark Audacity, for the pilot effect, start by cutting all the frequencies  below 200 Hz and the ones above 3000 Hz.  From there, adjust to your liking.</p>

<p>For the airport announcement, use the reverb effect as illustrated and adjust to your liking.</p>

My educated guess is that somehow, the Vegas software doesn&#8217;t like some of the way that certain computers will physically deal with memory. <p>The only way I know of (unless they&#8217;ve changed it in V18) would be to add the markers in Trimmer and then drop the clip(s) into the time line(s).  Markers added in trimmer will stay attached to the clip even if you move it around.</p>

Although you can fake it in post (sort of, but not with great results) , your best bet is to achieve the proper look during the shoot.  Planning ahead will always be your best bet.</p>

<p>Your best bet is to put both cameras side by side and record on both under the same conditions.  Make sure you have the same settings on both and once you&#8217;ve done that, you will be the best judge of the final results. <p>Here&#8217;s a link to a video tutorial on tracking from the Vegas Pro guys.  Take note that automated Bezier Tracking started with Version 16.  Prior to V16, you had to do it frame by frame&#8230;</p>

<p>I just checked the specs for the R6.  I&#8217;m confident that your problem lies with the file having a variable bit rate (see pic taken from Canon web site)  Vegas doesn&#8217;t like variable bit rate.  If possible, use constant bit rate when recording.  As TOM mentioned, re-coding the file with a constant bit rate should do the trick.</p>
