  • Email for Trial version not being received

I have been trying to convert my friend from Final Cut to Vegas Pro as on several occasions he asks me to produce some bits and pieces for him in Vegas Pro V18 that do not seem possible in Final cut. So he refreshed his Windows 10 PC and downloaded the Trial version, Filled in the Email and clicked. The email was sent but never got any reply. He has checked the Local Span box and also the WEB server Span box but nothing, That was 5 days ago. He did check to make sure the email address ( a BT one ) was correct ).

So I resurrected an old PC with Windows 10 and download the Vegas Pro V18 trial version and entered my email address. I triple checked it was correct and clicked. That was 2 days ago and no reply as yet. Have checked Spam boxes local and WEB..

Do I assume there is a problem at MAGIX at the moment or am I missing something, ?

I have asked on the Magix Forum but no takers yet

    Hi John

Deadline for registration was January 15. That may be the reason why you didn’t get a response if you registered later.

This is the generic email that was sent after registration:

    Greetings from VEGAS Creative Software,

We have been overwhelmed with the response from our call for new beta testers. We thank you very much for applying.

Our team will be evaluating the applications over the next several weeks. We will be keeping the application period open until the middle of January.

The VEGAS team will be selecting new testers based on several criteria including experience, usage, and system specifications. We are looking to add some diversity in our program so we will be looking to add novice users and lower end system along with professional users and high-end machines. However, we do have a limited number of slots available for new beta testers, so not everyone who has applied will be able to join the team.

We intend to contact everyone who has been selected to join the team by the middle of February. At this point, we will require those who have been selected to sign a non-disclosure agreement and to create an account on the VEGAS User Forum (if you do not already have one).

Again, thank you very much for applying. Have a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic New Year!

    Best regards,

    Derek

    Hope it answered your question.

    Cheers !

Thanks for the reply. Guess there was some mix up as it was just a standard Trial and not a Beta, but after uninstalling and reinstalling and registering again I got a email back in about 2 mins. Have not yet checked with my FCP friend to see if he has also got it works

    Appreciate you reply… Regards
