As the title reads, I am looking for a way to add one or two markers at specific locations on a video event that holds its positions on the even no matter where I move it on timeline. Thanks

    Hi Joseph

The only way I know of (unless they’ve changed it in V18) would be to add the markers in Trimmer and then drop the clip(s) into the time line(s). Markers added in trimmer will stay attached to the clip even if you move it around.

    Cheers !

In case you need to convert between media markers and timeline, I have always found Vegasaur my goto tool for this and much more. I used to have multiple plugins for things like this and if I were to start over, I would just get Vegasaur. When I was recording soccer game videos for my son’s coach, I created a simple app that would track the score and relative time so I could use Vegasaur to import markers on the timeline at the approximate points where there was a score or significant event. Vegasaur could then be used to create a title track based on the marker name. This allowed me to easily add the current score to the upper right that was useful for the coach to scrub the video to review the key plays.

Or if you want to learn how to code adding markers yourself, you can see here:
