Just convert the file to ProRes and it will playback fine and look good. Easier to edit it too.

Not sure but you pixel aspect ratio for .avc is square. The pixel aspect ratio for mpeg2 is not. Try rendering the menu to pixel aspect ratio 1 (square) to 854×480 uncompressed .avi or uncompressed .mov then drop it in.

Easy just create your first dvd and then turn it into a theme.
When you recall the theme you just delete the first weeks button(s) and just drag in the new video.. the button layout will be identical.

H264.mov is a last resort for broadcast. ExtremeReach distribution uses ProRes. If you have a PC you can submit uncompressed,mpeg2 or Avid DNX HD. H264.mov quicktime has huge, unreliable gamma issues that are hard if not impossible to correct. You best bet is to avoid it and use and alternative. There is no way to correct the gamma issues with filters but there is a way to come close if you have Quicktime Pro.

Check out Hash Animation Master 3d. It’s only 32 bit but you can rent it for $80 a year… or just buy it… It may not be Maya but it’s a good start. Lot’s of people use it.

NewBlue FX Titler pro is worth the price of the upgrade.Faster than Boris Graffitti (it works in 64 bit) It’s easy to understand and with a little work you can create some tasteful presets. So when you throw in Vegas 11 plus the NewBlueFX Titler Pro….It is definitely worth it.
