Does anyone know if I can make a template for the DVD architect so that I can simply drop the new video in each week and edit the words but everything else stay the same?

    Blessings!

    You can definitely do this.
To be on the safe side, I’d save it under the new name before I made any changes and then again after the changes have been made.
Make sure to change the locations of the audio and video files as well as checking that the entire program is highlighted in the timeline.
Apologies if what I suggested is stuff you already know but others who read this thread might not be so DVD Architect savvy.

    Richard,

Yes you can. You have to drop it in several places though, including thumbnails. However I learned a shortcut. Isolate your DVDA work from your other renders by making a special folder for your DVD. For the sake of brevity I’ll call it C:Weekly-dvd. Then put a copy of your video in it and name it weekly-show.mpg. Make you template DVD project and save all the DVDA project files to this same place.

Next week before opening your project again make a copy of week 2’s mpg and put it in the same folder renaming it weekly-show.mpg. The only problem is the length of the show. You must make sure your out-point on the video is stretched to the end. If week 2 is longer than week 1 the template may remember the length from the previous and not include the whole thing.

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff

Easy just create your first dvd and then turn it into a theme.
When you recall the theme you just delete the first weeks button(s) and just drag in the new video.. the button layout will be identical.
