I am trying to render a short thirty second animation clip I made for a wedding DVD and BD. When I render out to avc everything is fine however, when I render out to mpeg2 a picture in the clip and my BCC7 3D text gets squished? see photo below. Also, I rendered the project video with the exact same settings and it came out fine. Only the menu animation if getting squished. Thank you.

this is how is should look:

    here are my settings:

The only work-around for now is to render the project to .mov and then render it again as mpeg2. Argh! I can’t wait for Sony to issue an update.

Not sure but you pixel aspect ratio for .avc is square. The pixel aspect ratio for mpeg2 is not. Try rendering the menu to pixel aspect ratio 1 (square) to 854×480 uncompressed .avi or uncompressed .mov then drop it in.
