I have had a problem like this before and thought it was a field issue but it wasn’t……… and this could be your solution. The Blackmagic uncompressed codec is 720 x 486. You are converting it to 720 s 480 for dv and dvd. Quicktime Pro and all mpeg compressors seem to squeeze the picture and reinterlace the entire picture. YOU MUST CROP 6 LINES OFF OF THE PICTURE BEFORE YOU COMPRESS IT. You can do this in most conversion programs such as Mainconcepts,Anystream, Cleaner etc …and Compressor on the Mac. Take 2 lines off the top and 4 lines off the bottom. This totally eliminated any frame jitter and interlacing artifacts I was having going to dvd. Even when converting to Pal from Ntsc or Pal to NTSC. Now my final product is flawless…Ken
