Sounds like you’re out of luck. I’m not aware of any way to add a PCIExpress slot to a G4.

It’s fine to upgrade to Quicktime 7.1.3 if you need to as we have not encountered any issues here.

Hi,

This feature is not available in the 4.4 drivers. You’ll need to upgrade your drivers. Since you’re in 10.3.9, use the v4.8.1r2 drivers.

Best way to tell is to have a look at the crash log. Send that to us if possible and we’ll have the engineers look at it.

The JPEG format is 8-bit and 4:2:2.

All the HDMI sources we’ve tested are currently 8bit and there will not any advantage to the video if you capture it to a 10-bit codec.

This is a known issue with DeckLink HD. I’m not sure if this is the card you’re running. We’ll be addressing this in a coming update.

Hi Vic,

The choice will depend on the setup of your other machines. If they do not have fast drives attached. you would probably want to use a less demanding codec like DV using “Blackmagic NTSC – DV” as the easy setup.

You will still be able to play the clips even without the hardware. Just install the DeckLink drivers and choose the same easy setup.
