I”m sorry, i posted something similar days ago but it never showed up on the list of posts.
I asked if Blackmagics Jpeg-Online format is of 10bit precision as well as 4:2:2.
I also wanted to know if Blackmagics Intensity card would capture in 10bit precision.
    Thanks.

The JPEG format is 8-bit and 4:2:2.

All the HDMI sources we’ve tested are currently 8bit and there will not any advantage to the video if you capture it to a 10-bit codec.

    Thanks Kristian,
I am a bit clearer now on the JPEG online format although you reply has given rise to other questions:

    1. Is Jpeg online, being at 8bit 4:2:2 suitable for postwork like color correction and chromakeying(broadcast standard).I need the advice because my company is a Television Network based in Africa. We are interested in applying the Sony HDR-HC3/Blackmagic Intensity Workflow on a large scale but need to be sure that this low cost workflow will meet Broadcast requirements especially as regards to post.

2.The Blackmagic HD Studio is advertised to work in 10bits 4:2:2 via HDMI.How can this be reconciled if only 8bit sources/cameras have been tested.
