The settings will stick when the SDI is unplugged but if the camera is power cycled, it will revert back to default settings.

  • If you are capturing Uncompressed 10-bit Quicktime, the file size is approximately 37.5 MB/s assuming it’s NTSC at 29.97 fps.

This is a handy calculator for your reference:

    Hi Scott,

You can also use the Blackmagic Arduino Shield. Documentation for the control protocol is published in the camera’s user manual.

    Hi Daniel,

You can toggle whether it is a P or PsF output from the Blackmagic Design system preferences.

However, if you’re going out via HDMI, then it’s only progressive as HDMI does not have a PsF standard.

    Hi Chris,

Can you elaborate on what you mean by ‘spotty’?

Is the video periodically dropping out?

Is there no video at all?

Are there glitches in the video?

    Are the colours wrong?

    etc.

Your selection in After Effects CC should be ‘System Default’ as Blackmagic is already selected as your system audio in the OS X / Windows preferences.

With Blackmagic selected int your system audio settings, and ‘System Default’ selected in After Effects CC, are you getting any audio at all?

    Hi,

Did you refer to page 18 of the manual on how to setup audio preview in Adobe After Effects CC?

You now need to setup your audio in the OS X System Preferences or Windows Control Panel as After Effects CC now uses that as the audio device.

    Hi,

There will need to be a driver release from us to support USB 3.0 on the Mac. We’re looking into this.

Actually, I would also be interested to know if this is also happening if you’re going direct without daisy chaining via the WD drive. Since the issue is happening while just previewing in Media Express, you won’t need to capture.
