I know the Macbook’s were just announced, but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the compatibility of the UltraStudio SDI USB 3.0 and the new Macbook Pros. I’m assuming they will be compatible…

Also wondering if anyone has had any first hand experience with the Ultra Studio USB3, is it reliable? Any sort of lag, or is USB3 able to handle the video just fine?

I just got a new Macbook Air and had an Ultrastudio SDI already. Unfortunatley, I can’t get MediaExpress or Camtwist to see it. Likely, they will need to firmware update the Ultrastudio with a Mac compatible embedded driver.

    Hi,

There will need to be a driver release from us to support USB 3.0 on the Mac. We’re looking into this.

Same problem with a just-bought Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 and new macbook air, any chance on making it work?

I am also extremely interested in this. More specifically, the ability to make a 3rd party USB 3.0 card in a MacPro work with the UltraStudio SDI setup.

Any updates or more info on a possible update that would make this possible?

    Thanks!

Oh no – it has been a year since the last post about this issue – thats not a good sign…

With issues like this, I would like to know little details from blackmagic, like:
is there an engineer assigned to this problem,
does he/she work on this problem daily,
are they waiting on some other company to give them something they need (like apple),
is there an alpha version that only works sometimes – can we have access to it?
    has development been abandoned?
