Try using time remap with no Frame Mix or Pixel Motion turned on.
Also, instead of using the in and out keyframes of the time remap, set keyframes one frame in and one frame before the last frame, then move the last two keyframes to get the desired length- don’t ask me why, but sometimes that helped getting rid of the funky artifacts.
Just curious- have you used a plain old time stretch?Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

July 15, 2010 at 1:01 pm in reply to: Trapcode Particular: multiple instances and different emitters?Sure you can. Just go into the Options of your Particular plugin on one of the layers and change the name of the lights used as generator from “Emitter” to “Generator” (or whatever you like). This way on that layer Particular will use as generators only the lights that have a name that starts with “Generator” and not “Emitter”.

What I would do for the hair is to build a base that will not move (in the wind, but just follow the moves of the head)and that will allow for the individual hair pieces to move without showing a hole under. Then you can use distortion tools, like Mesh Warp or Bezier Warp to animate the hair being blown by the wind.

In the Render Queue select your previous render and hit Ctrl D / Cmnd D (on Mac) to duplicate- this will give you a duplicate of your original settings- re-name if you want to render to a different location.

Here’s one way to do it:
Work in 32 bit to get better glows and gradients.
You need to create a multipass effect:
1- build your camera move first and render out the base layer
2- render also just the door (white solid would do)with alpha.
3- render the silhouette the same way
4- composite the two and apply trapcode shine or a similar plugin to the door layer- to obtain the light rays.
5- play with glows to obtain desired effect.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

1-Is the alpha created by a key or by a mask? There’s a big difference in what can cause the flickering on the edges depending on how the alpha is created.
2- .avi may not be the best way to export a clip with alpha- .mov with Animation lossless codec or sequence of tga / tiff.
3- Why export with alpha to Premiere???? AE is the compositing program and the finishing comps should be done in AE and rendered out for final cut from AE.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Set the “Position Subframe” under the “Emitter” to “10xSmooth” and that should fix it.

It’s not an easy thing to do if you just have some footage of blasts. Using a 3D app that can break up the car in pieces may be the best option, but you can also use techniques from these tutorials:
