making a car blow up in half
I am using after effects action essintials and I am trying to make a car blow up. What I need to do is some how cut the car to have say the front of the car blow up and lift in the air. How could I go about doing this?

It’s not an easy thing to do if you just have some footage of blasts. Using a 3D app that can break up the car in pieces may be the best option, but you can also use techniques from these tutorials:
