What format is your audio in? If it’s mp3 convert that to wave or aiff.

The way the final image looks on your TV may not be that relevant. Check your tv settings to make sure that it’s displaying a normal range and it is not set to a preset like “Multimedia” or other that bumps up the chrominance and contrast.
Compressing to MPG2 (the DVD format) usually heightens the contrast and saturates the color in your video.
Is your final piece going to be delivered in a DVD format or are you just making a DVD for your viewing pleasure? Usually, each TV station has their own required format- some use even .avi uncompressed.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Also, I usually turn motion blur on for the zooms (or moves) on stills- this increases render times but eliminates the flicker.
There is no need for 300 dpi resolution for video – 72 dpi is just the same.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

There are quite a few ways of doing an object removal. Post a still and indicate the object you need to remove and you may get a specific answer.

well, this is definitely not a quick plugin fix- it takes hours and days to create the elements in a design program like Illustrator or photoshop or both and then a lot of well thought of motion design. There may be some filters applied to images (like toonit or similar) but those are just small pieces in the big picture.
So, take it one step at a time and study pop art and graphic design and then motion design, try to replicate what you observe and the create your own pieces.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

It seems that it could be achieved with a combination of radial blur, slightly blowing out the whites with levels and a cool Photo filter- all animated over the time it takes the scan line to come down over the image.

Since you mentioned that your graphics are large I can see how applying even just one more effect to the graphics themselves could change your render time. Can you pre-render some of the graphics and apply fx after that – this may actually shorten your final rendering time.

try opening your project with caps lock, delete the unwanted effect then release caps and see if it works.
