How are you creating your comps – if you duplicate them in the timeline, then they are instances of the same comp. You should duplicate the comp in the Project window and then you get different compositions.

If you are asking about what 3d plugin/package to use to create wireframes, then C4D or Element 3D will work. I would give FreeForm Pro a shot – if you can get a height map from Geo data of the region then you can have an instant wireframe grid. Play with displacement and size to get the height and positioning inplace and with the right AE camera from the track you should get a good match.

you may want to try playing with Liquify to create the smudges

Things to check for:
1- Layers are stacked in the same order they are in 3d space ( I know it should not matter but it does)
2- there should be a few units difference in z space on layers (make sure that plans that do not intersect are perfectly parallel)
3- there are no 2d layers (including Adjustment layers) in between 3d layersTudor \”Ted\” Jelescu

Try using Unmult – it’s a free Red Giant utility (you have to install Universe)

You can create the trails for the planes using Particular – search for light streak tutorials.
Besides setting the paths by hand in 3d space and then duplicating and offsetting them I have no other option right now as to how to create so many paths.Tudor \”Ted\” Jelescu

Using particles, custom particle being a loop with just the characters you need,

You have Stroke over Fill selected with a 40px stroke- your text will look weird. Change the thickness of the stroke to a smaller number (2-7 px)

This could work with ShapeShifter AE from Mettle- build a 3d coin and then use the Generator to multiply and offset for a stack. You can tweak the material to give it a flat art look.
