If its just your regular output to Vimeo / Youtube, upgrading is not a must, you can quite comfortably continue using Vegas 14. You wont be missing out on anything really, if that’s your target.

Worry not. It hasn’t been removed, it’s just been relocated elsewhere….. Go to the “Project Media” tab and where you see “Import Media” there is a little drop down arrow beside it, click on it and you will see in the list “Import DVD Camcorder Disc“, and that is what you use!

Not fully familiar with the Studio versions, but seeing you bought a fast new PC, i would have recommended you getting the professional Vegas version instead (Vegas Pro), also you wouldn’t have this issue.
What exactly are you selecting in the drop down render options?

Still, try using the new automatic built in driver update utility in Vegas.

Go into “Preferences” and under the File I/O tab, try unselecting or selecting the options that you have there, then restart Vegas and see if they can now be opened.

The lever to give a zoom effect is gonna make the foreground image looks degraded, as that is expected because it is zooming into the image…. So its not a problem.

Catalyst always install a openCL-CPU runtime package during its install. Try going into your “Programs and Features” folder and uninstall it and see.
