    Just as long as you have a DVCPro 50 deck with Firewire, you can capture into FCP 5 with no problems. Make sure your capture and sequence settings are set to DVCPro 50.

    Very easy. When you open FCP, select Final Cut Pro/Easy Setup or Cntl Q. Select DV-NTSC and you are all set. When you export, select File/Export/Quicktime movie (self-contained can be on or off).

    That’s how simple it is. You don’t have to worry about quaility settings or filed dominance. DV is always set to Lower if you want to know.

    You needd to change your setting in your system prefs under Dashboard & Expose.

    Make sure that every line is CHECKED in your render settings under Render All, etc. That is often overlooked.
