Get the original JPEG files from the presenters. Or better yet, get the PowerPoint Presentation and convert the images to JPEG’s.

Let me take that back, NOT from the Camera via firewire. You will need a DVCPro 50 deck with firewire. You could capture DVCPro 50 to your P2 card and transfer the file to your HD.

You should consider shooting in 720/24p. It all depends on the look you are going for.

That is because you can not, legally. You are trying to import a Copyrighted file. You will have to figure out your solution on your own, there is a way.

No DVD Payer can be controlled via Firewire INTO FCP. Some DVD Recorders (not many) have been known to OUTPUT via firewire.

You will need to use Capture Now or rip the disc. Hopefully not a Copywrited Disc!.
