Can anyone tell me if a Power Mac G4 FW800 dual 1,42 GHz can capture and edit DVCPro50 from a HVX200 via FW using FCP 4.5?

Let me take that back, NOT from the Camera via firewire. You will need a DVCPro 50 deck with firewire. You could capture DVCPro 50 to your P2 card and transfer the file to your HD.
