FCP/i-DVD/dvd-r disc playback
having problems with discs I make in i-DVD. Usually they play fine….they I’m using FCP and exporting QT files to i-DVD. The DVD-R discs I burn always play properly on the 2 DVD players that I own. However occasionally a disc will not play back properly on another machine (not mine). The disc freezes up.
Is this a QT/FCP problem? Is this because all machines are not compatible with DVD-R? Is it the quality of the DVD-R stock that I am using? my QT Should I be using DVD Studio Pro instead?..will that affect the disc quality?
If I burn a new disc for my client will he still have the same problem with his machine? Two discs I have given him will not playback properly.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

My bet is it’s the media. You never said what Brand you are using.
