Well, I got the same results , maybe 10% more with the Gt120 hooked up to the screen and the GTX 285 in Slot 1.
So the question is, does this say anything about Resolve ?
I dont trust Xbench…
It benchmarked my Raid with 190 mb/s
Resolve with 540 or so…and I can playback two streams of HD…so it seems true.Does anyone have a project with a simple sequence or still frame and a bunch of heavy nodes we could benchmark ?

Haha…lets see what Santa has in his big red sack for me 🙂
I am just grooving in with what i have now.
Sure the Decklink is next…then the Quadro 4000But speaking of benchmarks…
Has anyone a project loaded with nodes everyone can playback ?
I would like to toast those 32 Cuda cores in the GT120 for starters. -

Movies normally come and go in 4-6 reels.
Would be nice to have them in 4 timelines in the same project.
But…cant you splitt the long QTs and make real EDLs ? -

December 9, 2010 at 9:45 am in reply to: Is it normal to have 10 frames of latency on the monitoring output ?I dont want to fingerpoint here, but I have almost zero latency using Scratch and the Quadro SDI out…
Latency only gets introduced when using the house video routing from SDI to DVI splitters to feed the projector.
Our Aja card Smoke system also has almost no visible latency.
I dont have my Decklink card yet but 10 frames sounds like a lifetime to me.
I can life with two or three, thats it…and of course it needs to have a latency compensation for the audio playback which most of the time is routed separately. -
I tried it for 15 minutes and then decided to buy a MacPro.
I think the only ones who will use this combo are DITs and DOPs on set to play around and bring their ideas to the grading suite. -
I got mine today and I am really happy with its look and feel.
I wonder if you guys wanna share some of the mappings you did.
My goal is to emulate most of the big panels actions and I won der if the little joystick could be used to emulate the big T bar or the encoder knobs on the real panel. -
Dont calibrates your balls off.
We are running a RS25 in 709 and its fine.
you are looking at 8 k here and the only thing you need to get right is the white point to match P3.
But I really cross my fingers for your social well beeing 😉
It looks great in that spare bedroom…in the living room, even I would kill you.
By the way, you are missing the G13…its the bomb -
Upload the EDL and at least one of the files , so we can have a look, please
-
Yeah, maybe you are missing something.
Like a proper EDL maybe.
Do you have the possibility to put in online for us to have a look ?
Also a dir print of your files would be helpful.
If you are certain your timecodes exist, your media has the right names or Tape IDs and you either use Conform for a real EDL or Preconform for a notch EDL, I am very certain it will work.
On the other hand I also second the request for reading ALE,XML or other more evolved editing lists from Avid or FCP.
As far as I know , only Smoke does read those, recreates multi layer edits and keeps resizing.
That would be kick ass to have in DaVinci, sure, I know another board people are longing for that too. -
Hey Peter,
thanks for the detailed answer , that is what I was hoping for.
Also because that ATI card has a lot of benfits over a 120 for every other application running on the system.
But I found a GTX 285 yesterday and have it shipped to me as we speak, so all will be good 🙂
