Thanks John. I was thinking of doing a tilt/pan project using NewBlue rack focus and slowing down the sample rate to give the video an impression of a scale model. St. Augustine would be a good place for that but being higher up like from a building,it works best.

  • I’ve noticed that when I render our projects out to an MXF file. The colors seem slightly stronger and a bit darker. Maybe it’s because I’m watching it after I render it on a larger scale but it’s a good question. Wish we all had an answer.

    1. Don’t open Vegas
    2. Open Windows explorer and go to the folder where you have the veg file you want to open.
    3. Double click on the veg file and that will open Vegas and the project you are working on.

  • I just watched John’s tutorial on that plugin and I think it is just incredible. What a great plugin for producing stunning openings. I’m about to shoot a short video for one of our museums here in St. Augustine, FL and it will make the video I think.

This has happened to me as well but instead of opening the veg project file after you have opened Vegas, try to open the veg file in Windows Explorer instead of inside Vegas.

The Ultimate S worked great. Thanks very much.

  • I’m pretty sure that’s not possible but if you only have a limited number of regions you could create a track for each slide length and change the setting in preferences for each length.
So if you only had 5, 10, and 15 seconds, make three tracks and dump all your 5 second shots in and then change settings. You’d still have to shuffle them around but at least they would be at your desired length.
Not to practical I know. Hope someone else has a better solution for you.

  • I’ve muted all the tracks, unmuted, muted, etc. and this ghost audio has mysteriously disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared.
    Sorry for the post.

What purpose is the motion blur. I just tried it and it doesn’t seem to do anything. I looked it up on the help but it’s really not clear to me (as usual)
