  • Creating a region. Dropping in events to fill that entire region?

    Heya Team,

Working on a power-point-esque project in Vegas… Have a bunch of slides (still images) with narration underneath.

If I create a region, is it possible to drop in a slide/still image to entirely fill a selected region?

Right now, under Preferences/Editing, all new stills dropped in are set to 5.000 seconds.

Is it possible to have them change in length based on length of the region.

    Example:

I create a region from second 0 to second 10.
And a region from second 10 to 15.
And a region from second 15 to 18.

Can I drop in slide A in the first region and have it automatically trim to 10 seconds. Slide B automatically trim to 5 seconds and Slide C automatically trim to 3 seconds?

This would be a huge time saver in my life…

    Thx!

    S

I’m pretty sure that’s not possible but if you only have a limited number of regions you could create a track for each slide length and change the setting in preferences for each length.
So if you only had 5, 10, and 15 seconds, make three tracks and dump all your 5 second shots in and then change settings. You’d still have to shuffle them around but at least they would be at your desired length.
Not to practical I know. Hope someone else has a better solution for you.

You could use the Fit-To-Fill feature in Trimmer.

If you have several Gaps, of varied lengths, in your presentation, try this:

1/- Highlight or Select your first Gap=Region

2/- Click on a Still in your Project Media to Open in Trimmer

3/- Then select/click on Fit-To-Fill, then what ever is your Time-Gap will be filled with that Still from the Trimmer.

How many Gaps=Regions do you have?

    Grazie
