John Rofrano had an easy fix for the problem. It was just to delete the files in the edit details window. I think he may post something on this. He said he’s never seen this before. Thanks John

Removing the SKF files didn’t change anything.

Yes, I tried that. I also tried saving the project and all files to a new directory but that didn’t help either.

The links you posted are exactly what has happened to me but no solution on the links that I can see.

Well, actually I spoke too soon. Any transition I have not with a fade has a strange colorful flash with the color match on. I’m giving up on color match on track level.

    I have a GeForce GTX 570

  • I’ve been told that setting the Dynamic Preview Ram to 0 helps.
I have freezes with mine but much less since I’ve set the ram to 0.

Where do you apply a velocity envelope at track level?

  • Just hit Ctrl/S to save it. I’m in the habit of saving every minute or so and it’s just become second nature.
Don’t have any suggestions about the other problem.

Dragging all the media to one timeline is the way I like to do it and the reason is that all my files are in one folder and if I want to open it a year from now I can be assured they are all there and not in some other directory that has gotten moved or deleted.
For me it’s a security issue to preserve all video in one project.

I have no solution for you. I guess you can try opening the veg file within Vegas, just the opposite of what I suggested.
Also try one of your backup files and see if that opens. It’s listed as name.veg.bak
