Have you purchased Quicktime PRO ($30).
It can usually import about anything and then re-export it out to something compatible. Works for us here when we get that same error.

Only if you set up a PLAYBACK loop. But this will not loop when you render or output a movie. Just copy and paste.

Just create a new project with the correct aspect ratio settings, and then IMPORT the other project into it. Then, drag the old timelines into one of the new (correct) timelines. You will have to resize/crop your old timelines.

thanks…yeah, I was able to do that, but what if I wanted to choose the intersecting color? And how could I do something similar using regular layers, instead of solids?

1. Create a black solid on the layer above the man

2. Duplicate the layer with the man and move it above the black solid layer

3. Turn on track matting for the black solid layer and select alpha matte (this will use the alpha info from the second layer of the man which is above it)

4. Adjust the opacity of the black solid layer to make it seem more like a shadow.

5. Add another mask to the black solid layer if you need the shadow to move across the man. Use keyframes to change the shape of the mask over time.

There are a few reasons for this strange error, and there a few ways to get around it.

1. Do you have a very large still image file (jpg, psd, bmp,tga, etc)? This can cause the error. Resize the image down to 2000 pixels or less

2. Check you preview disk setting in your prefs and make sure it is set to your largest/fastest drive (sometimes it defaults to C drive and then aborts a render due to low disk space)

3. Create a NEW premiere project and IMPORT the other one into the new project and then try to output.This technique has been a lifesaver for many since CS3 has launched.

The first issue is most likely related to your pixel shape, either square or non-square pixels. Right click on your clips in the project window and go to interpret footage. Look at the pixel settings, and make adjustments.

The second question is a bit harder to pinpoint. You just have to look at your individual parameters in the export module and tweak.

Render out shorter (like :10sec) clips until you find an acceptable setting.

You could try by doing the animation on 4 separate layers. That way you can control the timing more accurately.

Since your original footage is DV AVI, just import that captured file directly into After Effects. There is no need to output it from Premiere into another format…most will add a lossy compression method. Just digitize in premiere, and then import that file directly to AE.

For the web, you have 3 options:(generally)
1. .WMV-windows media video.
2. .MOV-quicktime
3. .FLV-Flash Video

For any of them you need to consider: (1) What resolution (common sizes are 640×480 or 320×240) (2) Frame rate (should remain an even multiple of the original (29.97, 15,10) (3) Does your intended audience have broadband or dialup (this will dictate the bitrate…I recommend experimenting with 256, 512, or 768 initially) (4) audio quality…dont go too high here, keep it at or under 128kbps (5) Is it going to be re-compressed again (such as youtube, etc) then send them as high quality as possible (least compressed)

Always deinterlace for internet video to minimize interlaced artifacting.
