If you are watching the rendered mpg file, that is the interlacing you are seeing, when you complete the dvd and play it that will not be seen.

Try Quicktime Pro, I would guess that would work
or
Try googling ‘convert wave file to aiff’ and you will get all kinds of solutions

shoot at 1080i if that is the best your camera can do. For youtube output 1080p or 720p files

For Bluray you have few choices but usually you would create 1080i mpeg2 or AVC files and sony vegas can create both. There are other threads here that go more into depth about it.

Render the short clip, drop it in place on a new timeline. Render full clip

@13 mbps i would expect your orignal file to artifact during heavy action at a concert.

my advice for good quality live concert footage is mainconcept mp4 720p @ 12mbps 2 pass, or 1080p @ 20mbps 2 pass
