    Not looking for DSLRs

    I have looked at:

    Panasonic HMC40
    Panasonic AC90
    Canon XA10
    Sony NX30
    Sony VG20

    Things that are important:
    Great Lens
Clean HDMI for use with Atomos Ninja
    Excellent low light performance

I have a friend/client who is looking to sell his existing 3 camera set up(3x Sony Z5u) and move to a 100% tapeless system. still wants to have 3 cameras.

    [Shoestring Videos] “Panasonic HMC40

OK, which of your choices are coming close to your wish-list?

CANON Vixia HF-G10 is the same camera as the XA-10 without XLR inputs and 32GB more internal memory. I have 5 of them for multicam shoots and LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! I use a Zoom H4N ($299_for needed XLR inputs and gives me 4 channels of recording. a 32GB SDHC chip is $30, so I save a bunch of money!! Same lens and sensor used on their entire X100 & X105 cams as well….these
If you are willing to buy refurbed you can get 2 of the G10’s for about $2000 if you look on Canon’s website….

There is not a control I cannot access that I use regularly, BUT there are a fair amount of menus, but you can program a few buttons if you wish…

That is my 2 cents!! Good Luck!!
