  • Should I have a problem rendering mixed format footage project?

Posted by Don Cobble on December 24, 2012 at 3:48 pm

I have tried to render a project multiple times that hangs every time in the same place. I have tested that spot by isolating the area + or – 30 seconds on each side of where it hangs, then rendering that area alone and it renders? then when I render the whole project it hangs in exactly the same spot? ?? It is mixed footage MP4 from an EX1 and some H.264 footage from a Canon, with some boris effects on them. Could the mixed footage be my problem?

I’ve never had an issue mixing formats. If the events are on the same track, try separating them on individual tracks.

Render the short clip, drop it in place on a new timeline. Render full clip

That’s what I would do too. I just did a project with the same types of source footage you have and had no problems rendering out (Vegas 12).

What happens if you remove Boris?
