Blackmagic Media Express captures to MJPEG and Uncompressed 8-bit on Windows. On the Mac, it will capture to JPEG, Uncompressed 8-bit and DVCPRO HD.

Yes, you can certainly do a composite to SDI out using the Multibridge Extreme.

Hi,

Look under the “Clip Settings” tab in the Log and Capture window. You can turn off audio tracks you don’t wish to capture by clicking on the little speaker icon next to each track.

Configuration of audio tracks in the timeline to mono or stereo pairs is available in the sequence settings option (CMD-0) in the “Audio Output” tab.

Hi,

I think you might be confused between the easy setups and the codecs being captured. The easy setups may be “Blackmagic 10-bit” but the codecs captured should be the Uncompressed 4:2:2 10-bit codec which belongs to Apple. The best way to check this is to look at your capture presets editor for the capture settings you’re using in Final Cut Pro.

Yes, the Blackmagic 10-bit codec which is available only in After Effects has the same fourcc as the Apple Uncompressed 10-bit codec (v210).

Hi,

You’ll have 2 options. The AJ-HD1400 should be able to upconvert the SD tape so you can simply capture it with the Multibridge Pro or Extreme as an HD source. Any method available if you’re using the Mac Pro is to capture it as an SD source but up convert in real time to disk using the upconvert on capture option available in the DeckLink Preferences.

What version of our drivers do you have on your capture machine?

What is the codec used to capture. We currently use Apple’s Uncompressed 4:2:2 10-bit codec and so should AJA.

What is the CC application used?

The Multibridge Extreme will do this. You can de-embed the SDI output to 8 channels of AES audio, just right for 6 channel audio + 2 channel of M&E.
