  • New Multibridge Extreme – Mac wont recognize hardware.

Posted by Tim Mccandless on March 5, 2007 at 6:18 pm

Just setup new Multibridge Extreme out of the box – followed the instructions but my rig wont see the hardware. Removed the card and tested connections and retried – still nothing.

About this Mac does not see the PCI card. DeckLink preferences are all grayed out.

New MacPro, 8GB ram, FCP, etc…

    Thoughts anyone?

    Thanks!

    You are lucky

We have faced so many issues with Multibridge Extreme that we cross our fingers when we get the shipment and hope it work.

I have lost 3 bets and of our nearly 8-10 Multibrodges 5 became faulty in the last 3 months

I dont know why it doesnt just recognise only once we had luck for a week where 2 nos multibridges were just not getting recognised on 5 MacPros that we had

We got another lot of MAcPros and it worked for a week and then the BOB stopped recognising.

BM should do something on the Multibridge engineering

    regards
    Vijay

    Hi,
I too faced the same kind of problem. I don’t have the option to use it another mac. So I am using it in the slot 2. Set my PCI profile to 4 which reduces my graphics card from 16x to 8x. Did you solve the Mac’s problem? If you did, can you please tell me is there any way to make my Mac’s PCIe slot 4 to work again? Apple service in India is nearly dead. (This is my experience).

    Thanks
