I’m using Final Cut Pro and a Blackmagic Decklink HD Pro card in my Mac.

I’m told by Blackmagic that I can get up to 12 discreet channels of audio output from the card using the SDI output.

I guess I need a multi channel D-A converter, no?

Can anyone please advise me of something affordable … i.e what I had in mind was $0.00.

    With thanks,

    best

    Harry.

So what are you looking to do? Feed 12 channels into a mixing board?

    Thanks for your reply.

    Yes, pretty much.

I’m aiming to create 5.1 and M&E tracks within Fincal Cut Pro which I can then feed into a cutting room monitoring system.

I’m in some trepidation about what such equipment might cost, because I understand that it’s complicated to extract the sound from the SDI output.

    Any advise greatly appreciated,

The Multibridge Extreme will do this. You can de-embed the SDI output to 8 channels of AES audio, just right for 6 channel audio + 2 channel of M&E.
