This is probably because 720p50 does not work on the Dell display.
Sounds like you’re trying to send a 720p50 signal out via the 720p60 component which is why you’re having issues.

This comes in as 720p23.98 over 60. You can use the Blackmagic 720p 23.98 Varicam – DVCPRO HD setting.

The next driver will support CS3 on Windows. The current drivers actually work. Some issues we need to tidy up though.

Sorry for not responding earlier.
Could you check OS X System Preferences > Display, then click on the gather windows button and make sure the “Television” resolution is set to match the format you usually work on in Final Cut Pro. See if that makes a difference. This should not be happening though so let me know if that helps and we’ll look into it.

It may be pointing to the Apple codecs which might be newer than the ones we have on our install discs. This happens when the driver update we issue comes before Apple issues an update via Software Update on the Mac. You should still carry on with the install as we will not over write the new codecs.

Are you getting the “No Video Input” message? If so, check that you’ve switched the video input of the card to analog component via System Preferences > Intensity.

I have a hard time working w/hdv so I want to use the 422 codec instead. while in the preferences of the media express app, i see where you choose where the media is going to go and the codec, etc. but there is no choice for 422. yikes!”
ProRes is distributed by Apple and will be installed when you install Final Cut Pro.

Hi,
You can only use one card per system unless you’ve written your own application. Final Cut Pro will get confused as to which card to use.

You will not be able to use the Intensity output to a computer type display which takes DVI as the signals are not really the same.
Intensity outputs YUV video while the computer display will expect RGB. THe computer display also expects a particular frame rate and will not sync to something different. Intensity does not cater for this, it simply sends the video straight out.
