Hi Chris,

Your monitor is expecting an RGB signal while the card is sending out a component Y,R-Y,B-Y signal which is why it’s not working. Some monitors have switchable RGB/Y,R-Y,B-Y inputs but it seems like the PVM-14N2U is not one of these monitors.

Firstly, I would like to ask you if it’s possible to playout something from your HD Extreme card (I assume this is the card, we don’t have a HDLink Extreme 🙂 ) in Final Cut Pro or our included Deck Control player?

Secondly, are the DeckLink output options available in your After Effects CS3’s Video Preview preferences? What is it that you see on your preview monitor when you scrub?

Yes, the DeckLink HD Studio supports SD video via HDMI. However, do note that this card is no longer being manufactured.

Intensity can definitely do uncompressed video capture on both PCs and Macs.

8-bit Uncompressed HD at 1080i60 requires about 120 Mb/sec of data throughput so 4 drives stripped as RAID 0 will be sufficient. Obviously, the more drives you have, the more streams of uncompressed HD you will be able to support.

If I’m not wrong, the Kona 3 is not capable of sending out a full 2K 3 Gb/s signal required by the HDLink Pro. That is, 2048×1556. Basically, you’re dealing with 2 devices with different signal formats here. I don’t think getting the Apple 30″ will help in this instance.

Hi Martin,

I’ve successfully sent some test drivers out to some of the other members here with the same issue. However, I’m having trouble locating your email address and your website is not loading.

There are basically some discrepancies between the specification we’ve got for the 3dl files and what is being generated out there, causing some 3dl files not to load. We have fixed this and it will be available in a HDLink driver update I expect to be out really soon.
