Hi,

You’ll really need a G5 or better machine to do HD. The Multibridge Pro will not run on your G4 as the G4 does not have PCI Express slots. The PCI slots simply does not have the bandwidth for HD video.

Hi Paul,

Although the drivers support multiple cards, the issue you’ll face here is the lack of a system preference option to toggle the inputs of the cards as multiple card support is still a developer level feature at this point.

Hi,

No it will not fit. The DeckLink Pro is a PCI card while the new Mac Pros have PCIe (PCI Express) slots.

Unfortunately, we do not have a trade up program.

Hi John,

We’ve been getting some reports about this and have also reported this to Apple to be investigated. May I suggest this workaround, when you run into this issue, hit the Cmd (Apple) – F12 key to turn your video output off and then hit the same combination of keys again to turn it back on again. We have found that this will help.

Hi, you can’t digitize with your 10-bit SD card so it is SD only and will not be able to see the 720p60 signal from your deck.

Hi, we do provide DVCPRO HD presets. They all end with “- DVCPRO HD”. For example, “Blackmagic HDTV 1080i 50 – DVCPRO HD”.

I would suggest checking the options in Final Cut Pro’s View menu, especially the External Video and Video Playback options.

Hi Andrew,

Could you let us download the LUTS you’re using?

The LUTS created by the HDLink is not .3dl or .itx so it will look different. HDLink Pro currently only imports 3dl/itx but will not save the LUT in that format.

What brand of TV is it?

The default desktop video output format is HD 1080i60 so if you’re only using an SD monitor, it will not work. Go into your Display preferences, click on the gather windows button and then adjust the DeckLink video desktop output to an SD resolution and you should be fine.

Hi Joe,

G5s are certainly capable of doing uncompressed HiDef video. The only bottleneck in the setup will be the speed of your disk drives. The Xserve RAID should be ok.
