    Hi,

I’ve done search for this problem and found a few posts discussing it, but none seem to have any solutions, so I thought I’d raise it again (presumably it’s the same issue).

I’ve been mastering to HDCam using a HDW2000 using HD-SDI, with the output from the deck feeding a JVC DTV24L1U monitor. I keep hearing a persistent popping sound where ever there is audio on the timeline, where there is no audio (empty audio track) there is no popping.

I double checked through the headphone monitor on the deck and can hear the popping, so it’s not a problem between the deck and monitor.

When I feed the HD-SDI output straight from the multibridge to the monitor directly there is no problem with the sound, it’s clean as a whistle.

The week previous I mastered to Digibeta (using the multibridge internal SD down conversion) and had no problems with the sound on that occasion.

As yet I’ve not installed the latest MB software as I was in the middle of a project, eventually I just used the analogue outputs from the MB to the deck, which again was delivering clean audio.

Has anyone else had the same problem and have a solution?

    Kind Regards

    Hi Peter,

Are you using any kind of video reference? Is the HDCAM set to use the video input as the reference source?

    regards
