It’s probably better to make your movie a QT that is not self-contained. Then drop it in iDVD. It’s a pretty simple program with it’s own preconfigured themes. Of course, if it takes the QT you made, all the better.
if you’re going to launch it to veiw it you need to remember that mpeg2 is a dvd format. if you don’t want DVD studio to view it then get another mpeg2 supported veiwer and set it as the default player.
I need to show a customer what kind of render times he may deal with when using HD. I don’t know if he’s going to use 1080i or 720p. I meet with him tomorrow. I’m using a quad G5 with 4.5 gigs of ram and a 500 gig internal sata drive for storage. I’m thinking he’s going to be needing it for more color correction than effects but I’m not sure. before you do that try opening the third tab in the canvas window that deals with image, wireframe, ect. make sure RGB is clicked and on the bottom fool around with the black, white and checkerboard options.
