Does anyone know where to get some HD footage I can put into FCP? I need to show a client he can use it with FCP effects and not need to render most of them. Also, how many streams can one use in HD 720p and 1080i 10bit uncompressed? I’m using a quad G5 2.5 dual with 4gig ram and a kona LHe.
    Thanks in advance.

You mean Stock Footage? Or footage you can use to test and play around with?

Depends on the hard drive solution you use. What are you using?

    Hi,

I got a dvd from panasonic showing off their varicam stuff at last years NAB. two projects were on the disc. The first is a 720 60 fps and the second is a 1080i 30fps. Call them and see if they have any others.

    Good Luck,

    Tim

    Hi, Shane

I need to show a customer what kind of render times he may deal with when using HD. I don’t know if he’s going to use 1080i or 720p. I meet with him tomorrow. I’m using a quad G5 with 4.5 gigs of ram and a 500 gig internal sata drive for storage. I’m thinking he’s going to be needing it for more color correction than effects but I’m not sure. Thanks for your help.

NO problem. I have 720p24 footage…of my kids playing around. So if you don’t mind looking at my “poor white trash” backyard (just very messy at the time…and ALL concrete) and while nutty girls, then I can get you something.
