I’m not sitting in front of my XPress, but I seem to remember in the tools menu, there is a sub-meunu called comm closer, or serial port settings (come to think of it, comm closer is in mac).

Try that. I think you have to tell Avid which serial port you want to use….

I suspect it’s the settings in Sonic.

To what resolution did you digitize in the first place?

It doesn’t appear your card is supported.

Although you don’t say if you are running Mojo, I suspect it’s your card.

Go to a reseller. Plunk down your money for a pre-built system. The money you save by doing it yourself will evaporate in time and energy (and probably parts) in the long run.

Do you have the timeline view zoomed in enough? Try ‘command or control + [ or ]’. It gives you much more better control than the little slider. Once you are zoomed in, you should have a little better control.

[MPE] “Convert them in iTunes to AIFF 48/16 bit.”

Unless of course you have your system set to 44.1 – in which case you’ll want to convert it to 44.1 (CD standard).

Kinda’ like, “I know your not supposed to stick a needle in your ear drum, but has anyone tried it?” It’s really, really painful, but slightly amusing to those of us watching.
