As perhaps expected, I just received what seems like an automated response from Sony telling me that v10.0b is available and that I should try this to see if it fixes my reported bug. Alas, it does not, so I wait more weeks to see if they respond again, hopefully before v10.oc is released 🙂

Cool! Guess it’s not “official” as it isn’t on their download page yet. Any idea as to what was fixed?

Or, use a neutral background and then on the DVDA menu, ‘Insert’, ‘Graphic’ and place the graphic where you want it on the menu screen.

Sounds like the media isn’t being accepted by Vegas. Did that media work for your previous version? I know for example that my Cineform encoded media from NeoScene V1, which worked in Vegas 8 is not compatible with Vegas 10.

Thanks, Mike. I just submitted it (reference #101215-000099).

Mike & Jeff, yes, I also have been nesting since it was introduced years ago. I have no problem with the audio going to one main track when nested, but I do need all audio tracks from the original veg to be mixed into this one track and I am not seeing (or hearing) this. I’ve tried this on two separate computers.
Can you try the project zip file I uploaded to see if you can reproduce it?
1400_nestedv10.zipTake the “nested v10.veg” file in the zip and drag it into a new V10 project. Is the audio there?
Also, I said the V8 generated veg will work, but it only draws the waveform, the audio isn’t actually there for me.

December 14, 2010 at 12:43 pm in reply to: Converting Canon t2i footage to edit in Vegas pro 9I used Neoscene when I edited these files in Vegas 8 and the playback was actually great. Now I don’t convert at all when using Vegas 10, and the playback is tolerable, but I still think it’s better than the time and space to convert over 100MB of files for each project.

Strange, I searched on .mod files and found people saying to rename the files since they are really just mpeg2 format. It may be as simple as renaming the files as .mpeg instead of .mod, although I didn’t think Vegas cared about the extension. It almost sounds like the situation of importing too many Canon 5D .mov files in Vegas 8 which would cause it to crash, but a couple of files was OK. Vegas 10 will accept my files now. What version are you using? Maybe try v10?

To me it just looks like they are encoding at a bit-rate that is way too low, like maybe even under 1MBps. Reminds me of the old modem dial-up internet days. I wouldn’t render at less than 4MBps for online video.

Most likely you updated to the latest QT from Apple. I had this problem and had to go to a specific version, v7.6.4 and it worked. There are a few threads on this forum about incompatible QT versions that mess up Vegas.
