Thanks John, I thought that was the case. I’m OK with it stuttering when trying to go back and forth, but just thought that going forward-only would be smoother, since it plays at regular speed very smoothly (unlike in previous versions). Still, I’m very happy with V10 now that I’m not required to transcode. And event-level audio effects is fantastic.

OK, that’s strange since the Z1 was out prior to Vegas 7. What’s my alternative? I absoutely need to be able to recapture HDV footage and if I don’t standardize on something now I’ll be sorry later when I need to capture old footage.

    Thanks,

Well, saving as a name is fine to get the settings back to what they were, but the real problem is when you save the veg and then reopen the project — you now need to go to each track and open this dialog and set it with the name saved in denoiser. This does not make it easy to use in the future, and how will this behave when nesting veg files? I would like this to work correctly, regardless of the nice price for the software. I’ll post Virtos’ response, if they get back to me.

I bought this recently and it works great. I tried SoundSoap but it tended to distort the sound, especially voices. My problem with DeNoiser Noise Wizard is that the settings for the Noise Print tab don’t seem to be saved when I re-open Vegas. In fact, if I go to this dialog right after setting it, it is reset. If I use the default dialog, Noise Analysis, these settings are saved OK. I sent an email to Virtos a couple of times, but no response. Anyone else have this problem?

    Thanks,
    -Jim.
